- Right click and choose open
- Click on data
- The folder should open with access to all of the files on the CD ROM
53  How do I import an image into a another program on my computer?
Please follow the steps above until you reach the data files. Once you have opened the data file you will need to:
Right click on the folder which contains the image you wish to import.
Once this folder has opened you will need to right click on the design number you want.
Now you need to select open with from the menu and choose the program you wish to import it into.
54  I put my disk into the CD drive and nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?
It’s possible that your automatic run command on your CD drive is disabled. To make the CD run, go to ‘My Computer’ and double click on the CD ROM disk drive which will force the CD to load.
55  Do you need a graphics program to run Crafter’s Companion CD ROMs?
No not at all, the CD ROM’s have a program built in to make the very easy to use.
56  My printer doesn’t print the whole image, a small portion is cut off at the bottom. How can I stop this?
You need to change the printer settings to decrease the size of the border. Simply click onto the ‘Resize/Position’ button to the left of the screen and this will bring up a set of blue borders around the design. There will be 4 boxes in the centre of the screen, click on the top box 3 times and this will move the whole image up 3mm. Alternatively, drag the bottom border up by 2 millimetres and this should fix the problem. If you’re still not sure how to do this, click onto the help button to access the help-files and select the ‘Resize/Position’ button option for a full tutorial.
57  There are envelopes on the CD’s, how do I make these?
You can use your Enveloper Pro, Ultimate or Ultimate Pro to fold these together by following the instruction booklet included with the tool. Alternatively, for the 5” square and A6 envelopes, simply cut 9cm from the bottom of your printed sheet, and then fold along the edge of the printed line to form an envelope.
58  How can I print my image in Black & White?
Your printer will have a ‘Monotone’ or ‘Black&White’ option in the printer dialogue box (the grey box you see after clicking print) Simply choose this option in your printer settings and you will get a black and white image. Alternatively, you can use the colouriser feature in the design sets and set the middle slider to 0 for a black and white image.
59  How do I use specialist printable papers with my CDs?
You simply load them into the printer tray as you would with normal copier paper and press print. At this point, the printer dialogue box will open, and here you select the type of paper you are printing onto such as ‘Transparency’ of ‘Photo Paper’. Make sure that when printing onto printable acetate that you print onto the rough side of the page. If your type of paper is not listed (such as pearlescent, or vellum) try experimenting with different settings to see which one gives the best finish. The different finishes simply alter the amount of ink which is released onto the page as you print.
60  Will the built in colouriser on my more recent CD’s work on all of my other Crafter’s Companion CD ROMs?
No, the colouriser is built into the program which runs the newer CDs but it only works with the CD it is built into If your CD ROM does not already have the Colouriser, then for this function you will need to purchase the Colouriser CD ROM. (The Colouriser works with the updated Papercrafts and Florals, the Oriental, Christmas Collection, Mens, and Love CDs.)
